When owning a bakery, cake contracts are very important. They set the ground rules for what you are and are not supplying. I recently went to a seminar about cake contracts. In this seminar the speaker stressed the importance of them. She basically said that every business has them and so you should too. She makes a very valid point. When you are planning a wedding, everything you book requires a contract to be signed, so why not a cake contract? If the contract is written correctly it will protect you from any lawsuits from a cake gone wrong (we all have had this happen before).
